Ryan Sayler has built his career upon advocating for children and helping families safely
manage challenging situations. He began his work counseling and caring for youth to
help them work through mental and behavioral issues so that they could heal and move
beyond past issues. Through this experience, Ryan saw firsthand how vital support and
security are for our youth, which made him passionate about advocating for children
and helping families communicate and function better together.
After spending six years in the social work field as a counselor and mental health
worker, Ryan found himself wanting to make a bigger impact. In the field of Family Law,
Ryan can apply his knowledge and commitment to helping families navigate difficult
circumstances, enabling them to move forward with their lives. He is skilled at
identifying areas of leverage in negotiations and encourages clients toward a favorable
outcome before litigation; his efficient and adaptable approach serves his clients well
when it is necessary to take their case to court. He practices Family Law throughout
central Pennsylvania, including Dauphin, Cumberland, Lebanon, Lancaster, Perry, York,
Adams, and Franklin Counties.
Ryan earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Youth Development Psychology from North
Central University. He went on to earn his Law degree from The Penn State Dickinson
School of Law in Carlisle, PA, where he remains involved, consulting with the
Community Law Clinic. He also serves as an adjunct professor at Penn State Dickinson
Law, teaching future attorneys about the real-world practice of family law.
In addition to his law practice and teaching, Ryan has presented Continuing Legal
Education courses on advanced family law topics, including Pennsylvania Advanced
Divorce Law, Divorce and Mental Health: Evidence, Discovery, and More, Resist/Refuse
(Alienation) and Abuse in Divorce Litigation, and Discovery and Evidence in
Pennsylvania Family Law Cases. His experience with public speaking, legal drafting,
and creative research serves as a tremendous benefit to his clients and their cases.
When not practicing family law, Ryan can be found volunteering his time and talents in
the community. He enjoys playing music and golf and spending time with his family and
dog. Ryan resides in Dillsburg, Pennsylvania.
