Ask a Question

Do I need to pay a medical bill if treatments are done without my consent?

I was involved in a car accident where I was at fault and the sole victim. Although I was conscious my state of shock prevented me from communicating. I was transported to the ER and was administered a MRI and CAT scan all without my consent. The injury I suffered required me to wear a neck brace which I’m not certain I required. My question is; am I liable for paying the sizable medical bills if I never gave consent for these treatments?
